Stacker

WHAT IS Stacker

Stackers are compact, cost-effective, and adaptable machines that stack, retrieve, and transport pallet loads horizontally in warehouses and racking systems. They can also execute these things in tighter aisles and tighter areas than a counterbalance forklift or a reach truck.

To move around and store things safely in a warehouse, a forklift requires a lot of space. Are you looking for a more suitable option? Stackers make it easier and quicker to move, lift, load, and unload pallets. They’re a compact, cost-effective, and light forklift truck option.

Stackers have prongs that can straddle pallets, allowing them to be maneuvered in much smaller locations than forklifts. As a result, they’re ideal for low-to-mid-level racking in places like storerooms and small warehouses. They’re also a safer choice for consumer zones that double as racking spaces.

The need for stackers is increasing day by day due to globalization and the digital transformation in the market. The people’s demand for quality goods at low prices has increased the need for stackers from reliable stacker supplier in Malaysia like us! If you are looking for a stacker supplier in Malaysia, it is important to find someone who has the experience and knowledge and can provide you with the best possible equipment.

FAQ

Forklifts are probably the most frequent piece of material handling equipment seen in Malaysia’s industrial spaces. There are several different types of forklifts on the market, including diesel, electric, and LPG gas forklifts.

Each type of forklift has advantages and disadvantages, and which is best depends on your business operations and priorities.

If space is not an issue, forklifts are most typically utilized because they are designed to transport heavy items. Forklift operators normally sit inside the vehicle while operating it.

Stackers, on the other hand, have a thinner build and are better suited to industrial environments or warehouses with limited space or tight aisles.

Stackers are often battery-powered and operated, and they are suited for indoor use because they do not generate smoke and are usually silent.

Unlike forklifts, where the operator operates from within the vehicle, stacker operators normally stand on the stacker to operate.

Whether forklifts or stackers are more appropriate depends on the equipment’s purpose and use. Forklifts may be a better alternative if you need to load and unload large equipment frequently.

A stacker, on the other hand, maybe sufficient if it’s mostly for stacking. Stackers are generally often narrower, allowing them to reach tighter spaces.

Stackers are frequently seen in warehouses that handle high-volume or mid-sized goods. Choosing a stacker necessitates sorting through a variety of possibilities.

Smaller mini stackers, for example, are suited for high volume operations and lighter loads. Others include tilting capabilities to aid loading and unloading of larger or unpalleted products, or opting for a straddle design to save room while transporting towering or stacked loads.

All of these can be used by skilled workers to load and unload products from shelving, vehicles, and to deliver stock to specific spots on the property.

  1. Make sure the truck is in good working order and that there are no signs of wear and tear to safeguard your safety.
  2. Carrying big things up and down slopes can cause accidents, so avoid them wherever possible!
  3. Pulling instead of pushing allows you to have more control over your truck.
  4. Don’t overload your stacker by exceeding the load limit — the capacity is there for a purpose.
  5. Use your brakes – they’re there for a reason, therefore don’t be in a hurry to use them.

It should come as no surprise that a warehouse has height restrictions for stacking and storing products. When a pallet stack reaches too high, it loses its stability and is more likely to topple and injure someone.

When it comes to the safe stacking height for boxes, many factors come into play, including the contents of the box, its weight, and its size. Each warehouse will have its own set of height requirements, which should be clearly and visibly posted throughout the facility.

To prevent sliding or falling, all goods stored in layers should be piled in blocks, interlocked, and fastened. Remember that the higher items are stacked, the more harmful they become, so keep stacks as little as possible.
